Big Island Pond
Big Island Pond is located in Southern New Hampshire in the towns of Atkinson, Hampstead and Derry NH.
It is a very popular 500 +/- acre lake with 15 miles of shoreline and clear waters as deep as 75 feet.
Big Island Pond enjoys a great real estate reputation with strong property values and an excellent southern NH commuting location.
Big island Pond is a private pond with no public beaches or access other than a day fishing permit. The pond has one campground located in the town of Hampstead called Sanborn Shore Acres which is family owned campground that has limited availability due to its prime location in Southern NH.
Dixons Grove Derry, New Hampshire
Dixons Grove is a small community on Dixon Lane that all share the same right of way to Big Island Pond. The homes all show pride of ownership and community spirit. Most homes are waterfront.
A little bit about Derry NH
Derry’s location makes it popular for commuters, as I 93 and route 28 are within easy reach. Derry is part of Rockingham County. The population was 34,103 at the 2006 census. Derry is considered a town and not a city even though it is the fourth most-populous community in New Hampshire. Derry is home to popular Big Island pond and Beaver lake. Shopping , restaurants and leisure activities abound in Derry. Boston is an hour south and the NH coastline a scant 45 minutes east.
